Working with the largest population, Aging Adults are now looking to be healthier and more active. Yoga helps to bring awareness to the body and helps it to connect to the mind and spirit. We will discuss the affects of aging on the body, common ailments and contraindications and how yoga can help. This will be a 2 part training with the first focusing more on common ailments and conditions, disorders and contraindications, fall prevention and balance techniques. We will discuss the Koshas and how they can help with the aging process. You will prepare sample classes to help convey your level of understanding. The second will recap common ailments and contraindications and begin to dive deeper into alternative ways to help our aging students.
