Aging Adults Yoga Teacher Training Part 2

Working with the largest population, Aging Adults are now looking to be healthier and more active. Yoga helps to bring awareness to the body and helps it to connect to the mind and spirit. We will discuss the affects of aging on the body, common ailments and contraindications and how yoga can help. This will be a 2 part training The second weekend we will recap common ailments and contraindications and begin to dive deeper into alternative ways to help our aging students. We will use props, chairs, the wall and partners to dive deeper into accessing a practice for everyone, no matter their ailment or physical ability. We will also look into pranayama and meditation to enhance their practice. We will create a practice to share with the class. Must attend Part 1 to participate in Part 2

This is a Yoga Alliance approved CE 12 hrs for part 1 and 12 hours for part 2 for a total of 24 CE's

October 17th 9:00 am - 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
October 18th 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
